The holiday season is already upon us, and that means there are only a few weeks left to buy Christmas and holiday gifts! If you are buying gifts for a fashion lover or if you are a fashionista yourself, below are several holiday and Christmas gift ideas.
Buying clothing for others can be a tricky business. Who knows exactly what size to get? How do you know that the recipient doesn’t already have something similar hanging in their closet? What if they don’t like a particular color? All my holiday gift ideas in this guide take the risk out of buying clothing items for someone else. I promise the fashionista will be able to find clothing items he or she loves!
1. Stitch Fix
My first holiday gift guide idea is Stitch Fix. If you have never heard of Stitch Fix, read my Stitch Fix Review. Stitch Fix is a clothing subscription service that delivers a box, or “fix” of 5 clothing items hand-picked by a personal stylist to match each individual fashion lover’s needs.
Fixes can be ordered as frequently as you’d like. You can buy someone a new fix as often as every 2 weeks, or quarterly for 4 boxes a year, or just one fix for the holiday.
You will first complete a style profile to identify sizing, clothing items wanted, and personal style. Then, a personal stylist will hand pick 5 clothing items that match your wants/needs and send them to you in the mail. You get to try on all the items in your home. You keep and pay for what you want, and send back the rest. That’s it!
Stitch Fix has clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories for women, men, and kids!
Cost: Each fix costs a $20 styling fee. Shipping and returns are free. If you keep anything from the fix, the $20 styling fee goes toward the cost of them item. If you keep all 5 items in the fix, you get 25% off the entire order!
The next gift idea on my holiday gift guide is Shoedazzle. If you need to buy a Christmas gift for a shoe lover, then Shoedazzle will be the perfect present. To get the most out of Shoedazzle, then gift someone VIP member status.
Once you sign up to be a VIP member, you will take a style quiz to determine your shoe style preferences. Then each month, you will be sent shoe options from a personalized showroom that fits your style. If you find shoes you like in that month’s showroom, then you will be charged the monthly fee that goes toward the cost of the shoes purchased. Or, if you want to skip the month, you can skip the month and not be charged.

Cost: Monthly VIP membership fee is $39.95. Goes toward the cost of shoes purchased. If you do not buy any shoes in a given month, you will be charged nothing!
The next fashion lover holiday gift idea is Fabletics. Fabletics is under the same company as Shoedazzle, so the way it works is very similar. Fabletics has active wear and athleisure wear that is high quality and unbelievably comfortable. My very favorite pair of leggings are the Cashel Foldover Powerform Legging. They are very flattering and SO soft and comfortable. I plan to buy them in every color!
Once you sign up to become a VIP member, you complete a style quiz to determine size, type of activity (yoga, gym, running, lounging, etc), and personal style. Then, each month you will receive an email with outfit ideas. You can purchase that month applying the monthly VIP membership fee to the cost of the clothing items purchased, or skip the month and be charged nothing.
When you sign up to become a VIP member, you get 2 pairs of leggings for $24!
Cost: Each month of VIP Membership costs $49.95. This fee goes toward the purchase of items that month (all listed for 50% off for VIP members). Or, you can skip the month and be charged nothing
Finally, Rent the Runway makes the perfect gift for the fashion lover on your holiday gift giving list. This will be the best gift if you are buying for someone who loves designer label clothing.
Rent the Runway offers two separate membership plans, Rent the Runway Update and Rent the Runway Unlimited. To learn all about these membership options, read my review. RTR Update allows you to rent 4 clothing items for the month, whereas RTR Unlimited allows you to rent 4 items at a time, exchanging for as many items as you want throughout the month. There are hundreds of designer items to choose from.
Cost: Rent the Runway Update is $69 for the first month, $89 thereafter. Rent the Runway Unlimited is $99 for the first month, $159 thereafter. Shipping is free both ways for both membership options.
